It’s an excellent photograph, really stunning colours and the scenery is spectacular.
I do feel that this could benefit from a tighter crop. Looking at the image, its main focus is the mountain range and the valley – the top left of the image and bottom 1/3 is essentially ’empty space’. The brown rock at the bottom is interesting in colour, but it doesn’t add a lot and is quite distracting and detracts from the composition in my opinion. I, personally, would recommend a tighter crop – something like this: http://i.imgur.com/cR2qL2M.jpg
You retain all the main elements of the image – the leading lines bringing you in from the grey rock, and down towards the turquoise lake. This then brings you to the mountain range in the mid ground, appreciating how the mountain on the right towers over the valley and is submerged in its own shadow, bringing you down again, to see the mountain in the background towering above its own range. You have no distraction from the big clump of empty blue sky and rock, focusing only on the best bits of the image.
And to reiterate, those bits of the image are *incredible*. Analysing it as I have has really made me appreciate it, and it’s just such a stunning photo. Irrelevant of any comment I have made, it is still a wonderful photograph and you should be so proud.
