Yeah they’re some sort of poplar trees, most likely hybrid if they’re cultivated, but wild ones have a very similar look. They have this color right now around here too (Québec). This very week I was looking at them with a co-worker and called the “the underdogs/underrated fall color species”. Most people think of fall colors as this early fall bright red maple thing, but these poplars and also [larches](http://i.imgur.com/Q9p0CHs.jpg) just keep on being colored late in the fall and have this bright yellow hue that I love.
To me the colors in the pictures don’t seem THAT enhanced.
