Wow. Just… *fucking wow.* I just had a terrible realization after 14 years.
You see, I live in Montana, and between high school and college had a few good friends from Europe whose parents would come visit them during our summer breaks.
EVERY time, they’d request that I show them the sights – the BEST things to see in our neck of the woods – and I’d always say *”Alright, you want to see awesome shit? I’ll take you to see awesome shit.”*
So we’d drive 4 hours north [to Glacier National Park](https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=glacier+national+park). We’d see the T-Rex skeleton at the visitor center, walk the boardwalk, hike to Avalanche Lake, rent boats at Lake McDonald Lodge, drive over Logan Pass, go to Many Glacier for dinner… but at the end of the trip they would always be so politely grateful yet seem somewhat disappointed.
So it just hit me: Most of Europe looks like Glacier National Park. And I’m officially an idiot.
